Setup guide
Install an eSIM on your phone in a few minutes. Follow the steps for your operating system.
On iPhone (iOS)
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap Cellular or Mobile Data, depending on your system language.
- Tap Add Cellular Plan or Add Data Plan, then point your camera at the QR code received by email to scan it.
- Confirm adding the eSIM profile to your phone when the system displays the details of the new data plan and its label.
- Give the eSIM profile a name, for example GB Travel, so you can easily identify it in settings and avoid confusing it with your primary SIM card.
- Select the eSIM profile as your primary data line when travelling abroad, and keep your physical SIM card for calls.
- On arrival at your destination, enable the mobile data toggle for the eSIM profile and wait for the automatic network connection.
- If the network does not connect automatically, go to Network Selection and manually choose an available carrier from the list shown on your phone.
On Android
- Open the Settings app on your Android phone and look for the Mobile Networks or Connections section, depending on the manufacturer.
- Tap Add Mobile Network or Add eSIM, then scan the QR code received by email using your phone camera.
- Confirm the eSIM profile installation when your phone displays the data plan details and asks for permission to add it.
- Give the eSIM profile a name, such as GB Travel, so you can easily recognise it in the list of mobile networks in your phone settings.
- Enable the eSIM profile and set it as the preferred option for mobile data when travelling outside the country to avoid roaming charges.
- On arrival, make sure mobile data is turned on for the eSIM profile and wait for the automatic connection to a local network.
- If your phone does not connect automatically, go to the network settings and manually select an available carrier from the list shown.
